About Midland Ultrasound and Medical Services

MUMS is an established diagnostic treatment centre in Solihull. Specialist Consultants, Private GPs, Sonographers, Nurses, and Health Care Assistants offer same day and pre-bookable appointments to men, women, and children.

MUMS has – for 20 years predominantly served the west midlands female population with private ante-natal/pregnancy and birthing services including diagnostic imaging – USS. However – we have greatly expanded in the last 4 years.

MUMS is now private healthcare practice with an easy to access, pay-as-you-go booking system and emphasis on person-centred care, MUMS aims to provide the highest quality healthcare empowering a happy and healthy lifestyle.

The service complements NHS Primary Care GP services for those patients (of any age) perhaps who have problems getting to see their own NHS Registered GP. Patients continue to be registered with their own NHS GPs who retain overall responsibility for their medical care. We ensure that NHS GPs are kept informed of any significant medical developments in relation to their patients', providing the patient is agreeable to this through consent to share information. Similarly – patients can see a Specialist Consultant privately at MUMS as opposed to waiting for an NHS Consultant Outpatient Appointment.

At MUMS we are working hard to achieve an outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission. Our last inspection was during August 2021 and was rated Good overall.
