Vitamin B 12 injections at MUMS Solihull

MUMS private GPs offer and administer Vitamin B12 Injections. A GP consultation is required, and a folate deficiency blood test may be offered.

We offer this service 6 days a week.

The cost of the consultation is £100.

The cost of Vitamin B12 injection is £55.

The cost of Vit B Red folate blood test is £125.

Treating vitamin B12 deficiency anaemia with injections regularly at MUMS – can happen until your symptoms improve. Injections are normally administered every other day. Our Nurse and our GPs can administer these injections.

MUMS GPs will consult with you to determine the cause of your Vitamin B1 deficiency. You will be asked about your diet and other presenting symptoms.

You may be offered a blood test for anaemia or B12 and Red folate.

You may be asked to take Vitamin B12 tablets between your meals. You may be advised to have two Vitamin B 12 Injections each year.

Good sources of Vitamin B12 are meat, fish, milk, dairy and eggs.

Some patients need Vitamin B12 injections every two or three months for the rest of their life.

MUMS Consultant Haematologist Mr Bhuvan Kishore – also diagnoses and treats Vitamin B12 deficiency. Consultations cost £230.

If a vitamin B12 deficiency is not detected and treated, it could affect your nervous system.

You may need to have further blood testing.
