MUMS offer independent, professional advocacy helping families through all aspects of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and the Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) process.
Louise Herbert of ‘Insightful Beginnings’ is a Qualified Teacher with a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children with SEND, either pre or post diagnosis. This includes any difficulties within the four broad areas of need described in the SEN Code of Practice. She works closely with families to ensure they receive the guidance necessary to navigate the challenges of parenting a child with SEND. Her forte lies in working with families, and she always strives to provide non-judgmental and supportive advice, acknowledging that parenting, whether with or without the added challenges of SEND, is the most demanding and important job a person can undertake. Louise has put considerable effort into building strong connections with health services, social care, specialist teachers, and charitable organisations. This collaborative approach has resulted in improved outcomes for both children and their families, ensuring they receive the support they are rightfully entitled to.
