MUMS Solihull offer the 6-in-1 vaccine. This vaccine is also referred to as the DTaP/IPV/Hib/HepB vaccine. Vaccination is offered to babies and children with MUMS Consultant Paediatrician – Dr Vijay Iyer and MUMS Private GPs, Dr Nazish, Dr Rajib, and Dr Rebecca.
The 6 in 1 vaccine is administered to prevent the above diseases.
The cost of the vaccine is £120 per dose.
The cost of the consultation and administering of the vaccine is £50
The total cost of each dose is £170
Babies should have this vaccine at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks. Although it is recommended to have these vaccines during the first four months after birth – this vaccine can still be given up to the age of 10 years.
If your baby or child is unwell, has a high temperature – then we recommend the vaccination is delayed until they are well again.
This vaccine replaces the 5 in 1 vaccine which did not include Hepatitis B.
This vaccine is injected into the thigh.
The vaccine is very safe, and it is effective. Vaccines, like any medicine, can have side effects such as fever. However, protecting your child against disease is wise. Other common side effects or swelling at the site of the injection, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea.
