MUMS Consultant Gynaecologists, Miss Poonam Pradhan, and Miss Natalie Woodhead and Senior Sonographers/ Radiographers offer ultrasound scans of the female pelvis which include the cervix, uterus ( womb) , ovaries, vagina, fallopian tubes, endometrium, and bladder to females.

This combined ultrasound scan is performed to diagnose many problems within the bladder, cervix, ovaries, and uterus. It is safe, non-invasive, and reliable. Results are immediate.

Female pelvic ultrasound scans are usually performed both transabdominally and transvaginally.

The appointment takes around 30 minutes to ensure that pelvic related conditions have been assessed. If you have ultrasound scan only you will be given a report to take to your own clinician,  whereas if you book your pelvis scan with our consultant gynaecologists – combining an ultrasound pelvic scan with consultation – any abnormalities will be discussed with you during and at the end of the scan.

You do not need a referral from your GP and there are no waiting times. Booking is easy and our prices are affordable. You may prefer to have a combined scan and consultation with the Consultant Gynaecologist in the first instance. This costs £400.00.

A pelvic ultrasound is a test that uses sound waves to make pictures of the organs inside your pelvis. In women, a pelvic ultrasound is used to view the following - Cervix, Uterus, ovaries, bladder. You will have a transabdominal scan first followed by an internal scan. This scan is used to detect a variety of pelvic pathology including fibroids, polyps, ovarian cysts, PCOS and severe endometriosis. Our experts will look for tumours and cysts in your lower abdomen such as your bladder, fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, and vagina.

MUMS offer female pelvic ultrasound for girls aged 12 years and over. We use sound waves to make pictures of the organs inside the pelvis. Miss Pradhan and MUMS Senior Sonographer offer this ultrasound scan.
