Endometriosis is a common condition which presents with chronic pelvic pain along with painful periods and pain during intercourse. A pelvic ultrasound scan can detect and diagnose severe endometriosis with cysts on the ovaries called endometriomas. Mild endometriosis is often not diagnosed on pelvic ultrasound scan. This is a chronic debilitating condition, and the treatment differs to suit the individual patient. It varies from surgery to hormone treatments.

Endometriosis is a very common condition in women and the NHS diagnostics are invasive and have long waiting times.  This test is not available widely.

Our Endotest Endometriosis test costs £1100.00 but accurately diagnoses endometriosis using next generation sequencing.  It is quick and easy and highly reliable.

We recommend having ENDOTEST in a combined gynaecological consultation and scan which costs £400 + Endotest £1100.00 = £1500.00

If you have had a recent scan, then you may decide to have Endotest with a Gynaecology Consultation only which costs £235.00 + Endotest £1100.00 = £1335.00

Treatment for Endometriosis – Privately at MUMS

MUMS offer treatment for Endometriosis. This is provided by our Consultant Gynaecologists who have a special interest in treating endometriosis . We offer monthly Prostap injections for symptom control. Prostap is a GnRH analogue which helps to medically treat the inflammation of endometriosis and reduce pain. It significantly improves quality of life in patients suffering from severe chronic pain secondary to endometriosis and other gynaecological conditions. . NHS waiting times are long and lots of patients with endometriosis are struggling with unmet clinical needs. Endometriosis diagnostics and treatments at MUMS offer affordable, speedy.  – our consultant gynaecologists can offer other treatments such as progesterone and hormonal coils.

Adenomyosis

This condition is often seen alongside endometriosis. This gives rise to heavy painful periods and is fed by hormones. Miss Pradhan and Miss Woodhead will diagnose the condition and discuss treatments in the initial visit.

A scan and consultation with Miss Pradhan or Miss Woodhead costs £370.00 and includes a report to your NHS GP or Consultant.
