Nuts and Seeds Allergy Testing at MUMS

Having an Allergy Test to see if you have a Nut and Seeds Allergy at MUMS Solihull is easy. We offer simple blood tests but combine a number of different Nuts and Seeds together to make a profile to give you a bigger picture of what type of nut or seed you are allergic to or intolerant of.

You may choose to have this test within a GP Consultation to discuss your history and symptoms.

Allergy symptoms vary for different types of peanuts. Common symptoms include red bumpy skin, nasal secretions, cramp, nausea and vomiting.

Peanut and tree nut allergy is most common in infants and young children, but may appear for the first time in adults.

Allergies from peanuts are common. 3% of infants have a peanut allergy. It is difficult to avoid and the smallest amounts of peanut can often trigger symptoms.

The Consultation with our experienced GPs is £100.00. The GP will perform the allergy blood test and explain the results to you.

You may choose to have a simple £30.00 Phlebotomy appointment in which to be tested with this Nut and Seeds Allergy Test.  However – if the results are showing abnormalities then you will need a  GP consultation to have the results explained to you.

For children under 16 years old you will need to book in with our specialist consultant paediatrician for a consultation and allergy testing. The cost of a consultation with the paediatrician is £235.00 plus the cost of the test.

The Nuts and Seeds Allergy Test costs £400.00

The Nuts and Seeds Allergy Test includes:

• Sesame Seed

Results are back in 2 days.

MUMS experience of providing allergy testing has enabled us to group common allergen tests together.

This Nuts and Seeds combination test contains a wide range of different nuts and seeds to give our GPs and you a good idea as to what it is that is causing your allergic symptoms.

Our allergy component testing may be a better option for you than our single allergy tests.

We offer allergy testing 6 days a week.
